When the Carriers Begins

WHEN THE CARRIER'S BEGINS. The carrier becomes liable to the shipper as such, as soon as the goods are delivered for transportation. The delivery must be complete, and intended for as speedy transportation as the business of the shipper will permit. Hence, if the goods are put in the company's warehouse to be shipped at a later time, the relation of warehouseman, and not of carrier, is the result; but if the goods are given to the carrier for ship ment, he is liable as a carrier though they are not ship ped for several weeks.
